Questions and answers

Open the AI detector, paste your text into the field and click Analyse - no account required. For the Deep Analysis with sentence-level highlighting and file forensics you need an account with a suitable plan.

No. The free Quick Analysis works anonymously without signing up – up to 200 words per day. With a free account the limit rises to 5,100 characters daily (approx. 600 words), and you receive 5 pages of Deep Analysis as a gift. For Deep Analysis beyond that, with file forensics, a paid plan is required.

Quick Analysis: text only. Deep Analysis: PDF, DOCX, TXT and Markdown are supported – maximum file size 25 MB.

Besides the free account, there are three paid plans: Basic (from €13/month), Pro (from €69/month) and Max (from €219/month) – billed monthly or yearly. A full quota and feature breakdown is on the Pricing page. There is also a permanently free tier for Quick Analysis.

Go to account settings → Subscription. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time. When upgrading, already paid remaining days are credited pro-rata. Monthly plans can be cancelled at month-end, yearly plans at the end of the annual period.

Yes. For educational institutions we issue invoices to the provider – including purchase on account and consolidated billing for multiple licences. Contact us for a tailored offer.

The Deep Analysis is based on a neural network trained on specific text categories in German and English. That means, after training, it “knows” the style of ChatGPT down to the smallest nuance. Disguised or rewritten AI text, as well as the newest model versions, are also detected thanks to continuous updates.

Both use the same AI detector and deliver the same AI score. The Quick Analysis shows only the overall result – free, without signing up, for shorter texts. The Deep Analysis additionally shows which sentences are conspicuous and why, plus stylometric analysis and file forensics – sentence-level, reasoned, with file upload.

In the out-of-distribution benchmark on unseen test data, our AI detector reaches 87.8–94.4% AI detection rate at under 1% false-positive rate. The Quick Analysis and Deep Analysis use the same detector, so the figures apply to both and vary by text category (DE/Academic, DE/General, EN/Academic, EN/General).

Yes – false alarms cannot be fully ruled out with any detector. Our models are deliberately optimised for a low false-positive rate: the system is more likely to miss a heavily edited AI text than to wrongly flag a human author. Sentence-level highlighting makes every result transparent.

Go to account settings → Security → Change password. You will need your current password to confirm. Important: your Deep Analysis texts are AES-256-encrypted. If you no longer know your current password, use the forgot-password function on the login page.

Yes, at any time. Go to Settings → Delete account and confirm with DELETE. All documents, analysis results and personal data are immediately and irreversibly removed – this action cannot be undone.

Exclusively on dedicated servers in Germany. PlagiatGPT uses no US cloud services such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud. Your data is therefore not subject to the US CLOUD Act and is processed entirely under German and European data protection law.

Never. Your texts are neither used to train our own models nor passed on as training data to third parties. Deep Analysis uploads are AES-256-encrypted, visible only to you, and fully removed when you delete your account.

Yes. All texts are processed in Germany, without US cloud services, without sharing with third parties and without AI training on user data. For institutions we provide a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) under Art. 28 GDPR.

Your Deep Analyses stay intact: the encryption is not tied to your password, so a reset costs you no content. Use the forgot-password function on the login page to reset.

Pro suits active reviewers with higher volume. For whole faculties, departments or education providers we offer team and school licences with collective invoicing. As a school, be sure to sign the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) under Art. 28 GDPR.

Yes. We provide the Data Processing Agreement to institutions on request. It governs privacy-compliant processing on behalf of the institution – required when you analyse texts belonging to other individuals (e.g. students, participants).
