What makes us better than other detectors

Up to date
for every major language model

The world of AI moves fast and new LLMs appear all the time. A good AI text detector, like a virus scanner, is always up to date – we invest regularly in fresh AI training of our Deep Analysis detector models.

Secure by default

All uploads are SSL-encrypted and stored with AES-256. Sign-in with 2FA is supported. Even a stolen database backup does not reveal your texts.

Bilingual &
No US Cloud

The PlagiatGPT AI detector handles German and English entirely on German servers. No US cloud such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.

In-depth
file forensics

Was the submitted PDF or Word file really created by a human? We check the files in detail for signs of artificial creation and attempted manipulation.

1%

Minimal false-positive rate
(under 1%)

A false accusation has consequences. Our models are deliberately optimised to minimise the false-positive rate. In other words, an AI-generated text is more likely to slip past the detector than a genuine piece of work is to be wrongly flagged.*

Sentence-level highlighting
of suspicious passages

PlagiatGPT is simple and transparent. We explain the results and show exactly which passages stand out.

Still have questions?

In the out-of-distribution benchmark, the Deep Analysis achieves an AI detection rate of 87.8% to 94.4% depending on text category, at under 1% false-positive rate – measured on unseen test data. The Quick Analysis and Deep Analysis use the same detector; the free Quick Analysis delivers the same score, just as an overall result – without sentence-level highlighting, reasoning or file forensics.

Quick Analysis: No – the text is deleted immediately after evaluation, fully anonymous. Deep Analysis: Texts are stored AES-256-encrypted. Only you can see or delete your texts.

All current frontier models: ChatGPT (GPT-4o), Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Llama and more. The detection model is regularly retrained – including texts processed with humanizer tools.

Yes, fully. Our servers are located in Germany and we don't use any US cloud (no AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). For schools and universities we provide a DPA under Art. 28 GDPR and adapt to the respective state laws.

No, we analyse exclusively AI-generated texts.

* The detection rates come from the out-of-distribution benchmark of our AI detector models (V3.1, July 2026), measured on unseen, external datasets at under 1% false-positive rate. Depending on the text category, the detection rate is between 87.8% and 94.4% (German/general 87.8%, English/academic 89.9%, German/academic 90.1%, English/general 94.4%). Quick Analysis and Deep Analysis use the same detector, so the figures apply to both. Note: the success of AI detectors depends heavily on the category of the text. Deliberate obfuscation and alterations to AI-generated texts can reduce the reliability of the AI classification. Highly technical texts as well as purely mathematical, abstract and unstructured texts are excluded from AI analysis.
